Iran opens consulate in Tatarstan

TEHRAN (Press TV) -- In view of growing ties between Tehran and Tatarstan, Iran has opened its first consulate in this Russian Federation's republic capital, Kazan.
The Iranian Consul General, Reza Bagheban Kondori who has begun work in the republic, is entrusted to cover the republics of Bashkortostan, Komi, Mari El, the Udmurt, and Chuvash, as well as Kirov, Orenburg, Perm, Samara, Sverdlovsk, Ulyanovsk, and Chelyabinsk regions as well.According to Tatarstan's foreign relations department, the Russian Federation and the Iranian government agreed to open a Russian consulate in Rasht (a northern city of Iran) and the Iranian consulate in Kazan.
