Russia to host “Iran’s Economic Day” gathering

TEHRAN – Russia is to play host a conference on “Iran’s Economic Day” on Oct. 22, the Iranian Embassy announced Monday.

Officials from Iran’s state and private sectors will attend the gathering in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Russian Federation in Moscow.
Bilateral economic cooperation and trade as well as joint investment opportunities will be studied to develop ties.
Iran’s economic policies, foothold of state and private sector in economy, macroeconomic policies of the Article 44 of the Constitution and its impact on privatization, advantages of economic activities and investment in Iran come also on the table.
The get-together provides the chance for Russian producers, businessmen, and investors to visit Iranian delegation to boost economic ties.
Iran-Russia trade volume in 2006 touched 2.2 billion dollars, showing a 2.6 percent rise when compared to the figure in 2005
