Qods Day should create unity among Palestinians: envoy

DAMASCUS (IRNA) -- Iran's Charge D'affaires to Syria Mir-Masud Hosseinian said here on Sunday that the International Qods Day should create solidarity among all Palestinian groups.

Hosseinian said that all Palestinian parties should know that their enemies wanted to sow discord among Palestinians; therefore, they should hold talks to patch up their differences.
He added that on this day, the Islamic world will stage protest rallies with an aim of liberating Palestine and declaring their solidarity with Palestinians' lofty goals.
---------- Zoroastriansready to attend Qods Day rallies
A group of Zoroastrians of this central province have voiced their readiness to attend the Qods Day rallies scheduled for Friday.
Talking to IRNA, the group termed effective the unity and solidarity of the world Muslims in preventing the crimes of the Zionist regime.
Sohrab Firuzfar, a member of the Zoroastrian community, said his minority is willing to prevent the aggression of the Zionist regime against the Palestinian oppressed nation.
He stressed that as long as the Muslim Palestinian nation exists, resistance against the Zionist regime continues.
Holy Qods belongs to all religions and, therefore, Zoroastrians will participate in the Friday rallies to express their hatred towards the criminal Zionist regime, Syavosh Sassani, also a member of the Zoroastrian community said.
Zoroastrians will express their support for the oppressed Palestinians by participating in the rallies, he reiterated.
The late Founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini, designated the last Friday of the holy fasting month of Ramadan as Qods Day to remind the world of Israeli oppression against the innocent and defenseless Palestinian nation.
On this day, Muslims and non-Muslims in huge numbers all over the world come out to renew their support for the Palestinians and their resistance against the cruel and illegal Israeli occupation.
This year, the Qods rallies will be held one week ahead of the previous years since there is a possibility of the advent of Eid Ul-Fitr next Friday.
