14 Killed, 19 Injured in Bus Crash

SARI, Mazandaran Province Some 14 persons were killed and 19 others injured when their bus crashed into a valley along the mountainous Haraz Road, in northern Iran, Sunday. Head of the Public Relations Department of Mazandaran Law Enforcement Forces Colonel Parviz Fallah told IRNA Monday that the accident occurred in Gazanak, 60 km from the city of Amol, due to deviation to the left of the bus.
Traffic police experts said the driver's drowsiness and carelessness caused the accident. The bus was on its way from Tehran to Gorgan, in Golestan Province in northeast of Iran, when it fell into the valley at 01:45 hours local time Sunday. (IRNA)
