President, Cabinet due in Kermanshah today

KERMANSHAH (IRNA) -- President Mahmud Ahmadinejad, accompanied by members of his Cabinet, is due to arrive in the western province of Kermanshah today for an official visit, a local official said on Monday.

The head of the Public Relations Department of the Kermanshah Governor General's Office, Manuchehr Parvini, made the disclosure while speaking to IRNA.

The president's upcoming visit will be his 23rd to various provinces of the country since the start of his initiative on bringing the government closer to the people.

Parvini said the president and his Cabinet ministers are scheduled to meet with various Kermanshah officials, local residents of 14 cities, families of martyrs and war veterans and provincial elites.

The president and his accompanying ministers will hold a session in Kermanshah to discuss the province's problems and needs before they return to Tehran.

Provinces that have already been visited by him and his cabinet members include South Khorasan, Sistan-Baluchestan, Ilam, Qom, Hormozgan, Bushehr, Chahar Mahal-Bakhtiari, Lorestan, Golestan, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer Ahmad, Khorasan Razavi, Zanjan, Markazi, Qazvin, Hamedan, East Azarbaijan, Tehran, North Khorasan, Kordestan, West Azarbaijan and Ardebil and Mazandaran.
