TMCA to host visual arts festival on resistance

TEHRAN -- Iran’s Society of Islamic Revolution and Sacred Defense Visual Arts plans to hold the country’s first visual arts festival on resistance, the Mehr News Agency reported on Friday.

Entitled the First Resistance Visual Arts Festival, the event will be held at the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art (TMCA) in December.

Posters, paintings, typography, illustrations, animation works, caricatures, and photos will be displayed at the festival, which is to be held biennially for foreign artists.

The event is being held to promote artworks on the theme of resistance created by independent artists.
