Iran Rejects Alleged Presence of Turkish Hezbollah Leader in Iran

ANKARA Iranian Embassy in Ankara on Thursday dismissed the allegation by Istanbul-based paper Sabah on presence of Turkish Hezbollah leader Hossein Vali Oglu in Iran and that Turkey has asked Iran for his extradition. Issuing a statement, the embassy absolutley rejected the allegation appeared in Sabah Tuesday issue. ``The Islamic Republic of Iran has no link with any group hostile to Turkey,'' it said.
The embassy said no Hezbollah leader is in Iran and no extradition request has been made by the Turkish government either. ``Printing such allegation at a time when bilateral relations are experiencing recovery and on the eve of holding Tehran-Ankara High Security Commission is a matter of consideration, the statement said.
