“Noura,” Entry to Olympia Film Festival

TEHRAN (Mehr News Agency) –- “Noura” is an entry to Olympia International Film Festival in Athens, Greece (December 6-14), said director of the film Mahmoud Shoulizadeh.

Noura is to compete with 13 other films at the competition section of the festival. The film portrays the attempts of a little boy who tries to pay for the medical treatment of his paralyzed sister leading them to experience love and pain and to find the real meaning of life.

The film is now participating in the 16th “Foyle” Film Festival currently underway in Ireland. The Iranian flick "Noura" was widely acclaimed by critics and moviegoers at the 38th Karlovy Vary Film Festival held from July 4-12 in the Czech Republic. It also won the people’s choice award among more than 70 other participants at Taormina International Film Festival held in Italy from June 8-15.

The movie also grabbed best film award and best director award at national film festivals. SRM END MNA
