Iran's Hejazipour Retains World Chess Silver

TEHRAN, November 4 (Mehr News Agency) -- Mitra Hejazipour of Iran retained the silver medal of the under-10 girls category of the World Youth Chess Championships in Halkidiki, northern Greece.
Winning nine points out of 11 games, the Iranian genius finished runner-up to her Chinese rival Yifan Hou, who collected 9.5 points.
Hejazipour did not make it in the 11th round and lost to Nazi Paikidze from Georgia, who stood third with 8.5 points.
In the 10-day event, 985 chess players from 84 countries competed in the boys' and girls' categories.
