Conference of “The Civilization Approach of Islamic Unity” Ended in Moscow
The two-day conference which was attended by Ravi Einodole, Chairman of the Russian Mufti Federation Council, Ulema of the Russian Muslim Republics, Ayatollah Taskhiri, Chairman of the World Forum for the Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought , representatives of government officials and Arabian and Islamic countries’ ambassadors ended on October 17.
In the final resolution of the conference the Russian president’s point of view in regard to Russia’s joining the Islamic countries’ organizations gained encouragement.
Also a number of articles were added to the resolution considering the independence of Iraq and the legal solution of the Middle East issue which were suggested by Ayatollah Taskhiri.
The resolution emphasizes the establishment of a spiritual center for the expansion of bilateral relations between the Muslim society of Russia, governmental institutes, social organizations, leaderships of Russian traditional religions and international organizations considering the importance of cooperation among regional spiritual offices of Russia and leaderships of the Russian Muslims.
At the end of the resolution the Muslim Ulema of Russia made a commitment to stabilize the relations between Russia and the world of Islam.
At the opening ceremony of the conference the second high medal of Russian Muslims was presented to Taskhiri by the head of the Russian Mufti Council and in the presence of governmental personalities and Islamic, Christian and Jewish clerics.
This two-day conference is expected to study religious, social and cultural affairs of the life of the Islamic Ummah, recognize new ways of communication in order to gain unity among Islamic institutes of the contemporary period and develop bilateral relations between Islamic organizations and governmental structures. It was held in Moscow through the joint support of the Russian Mufti Federation Council and the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought.
