Nassereddin Shah's Coach to Be Put on Display

TEHRAN - The coach used by Nasereddin Shah during his lifetime will be put on display at Sahebqaraniyeh Palace in the Niavaran Cultural-Historical Complex for the first time.

A project dubbed "Newer Than New" was begun May 18 by the complex on the occasion of this year's nationwide celebration of World Museum Day and Cultural Heritage Week.

According to the Cultural Heritage Organization's (CHO) information office, the Niavaran Cultural Center sponsored the project in order to gather new artifacts to display before visitors of the museum

Prominent works of every museum heretofore never been displayed will be displayed in contemporary style in a special place of each museum for visitors to view.

Nassereddin Shah's coach was built in Isfahan in the 13th century A.H. Its body is made of silver.

The Niavaran Cultural-Historical Complex is located in Shahid Bahonar St.
