A number of officials have visited the TEHRAN TIMES stand at the Press Exhibition and offered their opinions on the daily.

The managing director of research affairs of the Research Center of Art and Islamic Thought, Hojjatoleslam Hamedani, said, "The TEHRAN TIMES has had a positive influence abroad. It is quite clear that if the news is up-to-date and the perspectives are realistic, then the newspaper will become more attractive. Therefore, the number of its readers will increase. I hope to see such a day and I also wish you would be able to convey the message of the Islamic Revolution and Islam to the world in such a way that the companions and supporters of the revolution would become informed about issues related to the revolution as soon as possible."

Hojjatoleslam Sadeqi Rashad stated, "Since the TEHRAN TIMES was the first English newspaper to be published in Iran, it is the pioneer of English newspapers. Although the circulation was very limited, the TEHRAN TIMES was the only English language newspaper which conveyed the message of the Islamic revolution and also the Islamic, religious, national and revolutionary ideals of the time. Therefore, the TEHRAN TIMES is still valuable, but since this newspaper is affiliated to the Islamic Propagation Organization, which is a religious and cultural organization, it should pay more attention to religious culture. So, the TEHRAN TIMES, in addition to its daily articles, should devote a particular section to theoretical issues, which are being developed in the field of religious research in Iran. As a matter of fact, the TEHRAN TIMES can convey the current scientific theoretical issues and events of our time and so provide the necessary information to Iranians living abroad who do not have access to authentic news about their country."

Mohammad Atrianfar, a member of the Tehran City Council and also the editor in chief of Hamshahri newspaper, said, "After the victory of the Islamic Revolution, since our revolution was a cultural revolution, we expected to see great and significant changes in the medium, but war and other issues postponed this affair until finally we managed to compensate. Therefore, the establishment of Latin alphabet media such as the TEHRAN TIMES was a valuable deed and I praise those efforts. Besides, we should support them somehow so that they can carry out their work better than before and develop their activities.

"We should try to increase the readership. In order to achieve this goal, the newspaper must become quite professional in reporting the news and other information. The important point is that we have to act quickly, wasting not even a minute, otherwise we will fall behind the Internet and other information services of the world."
