Nine Killed in Suicide Bomb Attack in Indian Kashmir

SRINAGAR, India -- Nine people were killed and 12 injured Monday when suspected Muslim militants set off an explosive in a car in the Indian-ruled portion of Srinagar in a suicide attack, officials said. The victims of the attack in the Cantonment area of the capital of Indian-administered Kashmir included three civilians and five army men besides the militant in the car. But officials confirmed only injuries to 20 people in the attack outside the main gate of an Indian Army corps headquarters.
