TEHRAN – Two members of Iran’s Basij force were martyred in an attack by terrorist groups in Saravan County, located in the southeastern province of Sistan-Baluchestan, according to official reports.

The Public Relations Office of the Quds Headquarters in the Southeast confirmed the incident, issuing a statement earlier today. "This morning, two Basij members from the city of Saravan were martyred during an assault carried out by terrorist elements," the announcement stated.  

No further details regarding the perpetrators or the circumstances of the attack were immediately available. The region, which borders Pakistan and Afghanistan, has witnessed sporadic unrest and attacks in recent years, often attributed to separatist or terrorist groups operating in the area. Authorities are expected to release more information as investigations continue.
