Iran to meet U.S. at 2024 Cerebral Palsy World Cup quarters

TEHRAN - Iran’s football team defeated Germany 4-0 in Group D of the 2024 Cerebral Palsy World Cup underway in Salou, Spain Friday night.
Amirmehdi Rahimabadi (two goals), Shamseddin Shahbazi and Amin Rezaei were on target for the Iranian outfit.
Iran had previously defeated Venezuela 4-0 and Ireland 3-0 in their first two matches.
Team Melli will face the U.S on Sunday in the quarterfinals.
Germany also advanced to the next stage as the group’s runners-up and will play the Netherlands.
The 2024 IFCPF World Cup continues IFCPF's commitment to promoting CP Football, a sport recognized by the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) and featured in the Paralympic Games since 1984.
The World Cup Final will be held on Friday, Nov. 22.
