Is there a possibility of constructive negotiation?!
TEHRAN - In an article, Kayhan addressed the possibility of direct and fruitful negotiations propounded by some inside Iran.
It wrote: People who make this proposal deliberately ignore a fundamental factor: the key role of Zionists in the political and financial structure of the United States and choosing a person like Trump. Trump's performance in the first term of his presidency (from 2017 to 2021) proves that he is a stooge of the Zionist lobbies. Ideas that problems between Iran and the U.S. can be immediately resolved are simplistic and inconsistent with the realities and experiences of the world and Iran. Although such propagandistic proposals may lead to short political gains, such inept political proposals will make the situation more difficult in the long term. Facing the very complex conditions ahead is not that much simplistic. One cannot deal with them through superficial analyses of the existing conditions. Rather they entail learning from past experiences. The country's power should be comprehensively promoted in a world that only understands the language of power.
Etemad: Is Iran redefining its nuclear doctrine?
In an analysis, Etemad discussed Trump's return and the prospect of Iran-U.S. relations. It said: Some observers claim that with Trump's return to the White House, the failed approach of maximum pressure will be on the agenda again. But another narrative has been made by Donald Trump's allies as his administration will face a very different situation in the Middle East (Israel’s war on Gaza, its war with Lebanon, and the retaliatory attacks between Iran and Israel). Trump's new team is considering plans to impose a new wave of tough economic sanctions on Iran and try to cut off Tehran's oil exports, former officials have claimed, and the Trump administration is set to increase support for Israel against Iran. But Iran has warned that if Israel attacks Iran's nuclear facilities, our “level of deterrence” will be different. In the past, we have considered the sensitivities of the West, especially the Europeans. However, now that they do not respect our sensitivities, especially territorial integrity, there is no reason to respect their sensitivities.
Ham Mihan: Iran's tense ties with Europe will help to intensify sanctions
In a commentary, Ham Mihan dealt with the tense situation between Iran and Europe and said: The growing tension in relations between Iran and the European troika since the alleged sale of arms to Russia for use in the Ukraine war, as well as what Europe has called human rights violations in Iran, Tehran's relations with London, Paris, and Berlin have entered one of the worst periods in recent years. Although the 14th (sitting) government presented a new initiative to reduce tension with Europe from the United Nations General Assembly, European sanctions against Iran have been intensified. Tehran was called part of an "axis of evil" by the NATO secretary general. Iran was also called an "occupier" by the European Union by siding with the UAE's territorial claim against the three Iranian islands (in the Persian Gulf). And in the latest move, the National Airline of the Islamic Republic of Iran was sanctioned. According to Sina Azodi, an expert on international affairs, it is important that during Trump's presidency, the relations between Iran and Europe will not be as in 2018-2020 because these countries may cooperate with the new Trump administration in putting pressure on Iran, and even encouraging him.
Ettelaat: How can Iran contain Trump?
In an interview with Hossein Anvari, a member of the Islamic Coalition Party, Ettelaat discussed how Iran's officials can counter Trump's moves against the Islamic Republic. He said: The United States is openly opposed to the Islamic Republic system, and whoever becomes president in this country considers it obligatory to undermine Iran. Anyone who becomes the president of America will naturally follow the policy of Iranophobia. Therefore, Iranian statesmen should be prepared to manage the country regardless of the results of the American election so that we incur less costs. The 14th (sitting) government should expand its regional and global diplomacy to provide more economic interactions with other countries to prove to America and its allies that we can manage our country regardless of economic sanctions and hostile policies. We should not forget that Iran is a rich country in terms of land and underground resources, and we can create the conditions to reduce problems through proper management.
