TEHRAN – The caretaker of Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization (CAO) said the condition of the country’s aviation fleet is going to improve by indigenizing the knowledge for manufacturing aircraft parts and engines and supporting domestic companies active in this field.

Speaking in a brainstorming session with heads of domestic airline companies, Hossein Pourfarzaneh appreciated the airliners’ efforts in keeping the air transport industry afloat, especially during the sanctions, and said: “Over the past years, airliners have resolved their challenges and problems using their own assets, but this type of problem-solving is definitely costly.”
