For two decades, the festival has remained steadfast in its mission to empower emerging filmmakers, providing them with a platform to showcase their work and connect with audiences around the world.
It was created by the American Foundation for Bulgaria in 2005 as a continuation of the successful initiative of the Foundation to support university students' film projects.
The main goal of the festival has always been to present the specific point of view of the young filmmakers and their bold opinion on the topics of the day in order to preserve a visual record of what excites them.
In an effort to be useful to the filmmakers Early Bird ISFF has special educational modules. Every year the festival organizes master classes and workshops - a place for discussions and exchange of experience between proven professionals in different spheres and the future ones.
Having launched on November 1, this year’s edition of the festival will conclude on November 5.
