TEHRAN – The Iranian embassy in Belgium has categorically dismissed the European Union's unfounded assertion regarding Iran's alleged involvement in the Ukraine conflict.

In its official statement, the embassy emphasized that the Islamic Republic of Iran, a nation that has suffered from terrorist acts and has been a key player in combating terrorism, particularly against ISIS, firmly denies any allegations of Iranian-affiliated entities posing threats on European territory.

The embassy rejected claims that Iran has supplied missiles for the Ukraine conflict, reiterating that Iran maintains a clear policy of neutrality in this matter and advocates for the resolution of issues through diplomatic means.

Additionally, the Iranian embassy called on members of the European Parliament to concentrate on the genuine threats posed by the actions and crimes of the Zionist regime in Gaza, Lebanon, and across the West Asia region, which have dire implications for civilians, human rights, and both regional and global peace and stability, rather than focusing on fabricated threats.

The statement concluded by urging EU member states to remain vigilant and act responsibly against organized campaigns of Iranophobia orchestrated by external parties, particularly the Zionist regime, which seeks to sever ties between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Europe, and emphasized the importance of avoiding actions that could further strain and complicate the historically significant relationship between Iran and Europe.

On October 22, some official representatives from the European Parliament and a representative from the European Union's Foreign Service alleged that Iran has been supplying weapons to Russia for use against targets in Ukraine, without providing any evidence.
