TEHRAN- The Iranian Foreign Minister's special representative for West Asian Affairs engaged in discussions with the speaker of the Lebanese Parliament.

On Friday, Mohammadreza Sheibani met with Nabih Berri, the speaker of the Lebanese Parliament.

Sheibani, while emphasizing the right to self-defense for Lebanon, strongly condemned the warlike actions of the Zionist regime in violating Lebanon's sovereignty and the airstrikes on the territory of this country.

The Iranian diplomat reiterated that the Islamic Republic of Iran is firmly aligned with the Resistance Axis and provides legal support to the fighters in Lebanon.

Nabih Berri also expressed satisfaction with Iran's legal support in facing the Zionist regime and emphasized the need for more bilateral interactions between Iran and Lebanon.

The meeting focused on recent developments in the region, particularly in Lebanon, and both parties underscored the urgent need to halt the aggression of the Zionist regime.
