Al-Awda Hospital has been inundated with casualties as dozens of injured people continue to arrive daily, the acting director of the hospital says.

“Israeli forces are targeting everything that moves in northern Gaza,” Mohammed Saleh said in a statement, according to Al Jazeera. 

Medical staff are grappling with severe shortages of medicines, supplies and fuel, while food is running critically low for both patients and healthcare workers, he added.

“If the siege continues, we are on the brink of a disaster,” Saleh warned.

He called on UN agencies and international partners to urgently facilitate the delivery of medical supplies, fuel and food to sustain the hospital’s operations.
