Medicine exports up over 19% in 6 months

TEHRAN – Iran exported 49,400 tons of medicine worth $104.6 million in the first six months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 20-September 21), 19.7 percent more than the figure for the same period a year earlier.

Based on the latest data released by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), the medicine exports also increased by 15 percent in terms of weight, IRNA reported.

As reported, the exported items include medicine, supplements, and raw materials for medicine production.
