TEHRAN – Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei will reportedly perform this week’s Friday prayers in Tehran.

The Friday prayer is a weekly community service central to Islamic practice.

The Leader will be appearing in public after several Western media outlets including Reuters reported that Ayatollah Khamenei has been transferred to a “secure location with increased security measures” following Israel’s assassination of Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyad Hassan Nasrallah on September 27.

Ayatollah Khamenei also held a meeting with Iran’s academic elite at the Imam Khomeini Hussainiyah, a location in central Tehran where he has been holding his meetings for years.
