TEHRAN - Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has stated that Iran's military actions against Israel were carried out in accordance with its legitimate rights and with the goal of ensuring peace and security for both Iran and the broader region.

On Tuesday night, Iran fired about 400 ballistic missiles, some of them of hypersonic models, at military targets in the Israeli cities of Tel Aviv and Haifa.

In a message shared on X (formerly Twitter), Pezeshkian also sent a strong warning to Israel, emphasizing Iran's decisive response to recent acts of aggression by the Zionist regime.

Iran’s missile attacks on Israel came in response to back-to-back assassinations by Israel inside and outside Iran.

Pezeshkian highlighted that the response was taken to defend Iranian interests and citizens in the face of repeated aggressions. Addressing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu directly, he warned that while Iran does not seek war, it will not hesitate to stand firmly against any threats.

"Netanyahu should know that Iran is not war-seeking, but in the face of any threat, we will respond decisively," Pezeshkian wrote. He also stressed that Israel should take heed of the message, noting that the actions taken were just a small display of Iran's capabilities. "This is just a glimpse of our power. Do not engage in conflict with Iran."
