TEHRAN – Masoud Pezeshkian, the president of Iran, is set to visit Qatar to take part in the upcoming Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) Summit.
The summit will bring together the leaders of 35 member nations to discuss cooperation on various economic and cultural initiatives across the continent.
Scheduled for September 27 and 28, the summit will take place in Doha, Qatar, and marks a significant gathering of Asian leaders aimed at fostering deeper collaboration in a range of sectors.
The Asia Cooperation Dialogue Forum, established over two decades ago, has played a pivotal role in facilitating dialogue and joint programs among Asian countries. It serves as a platform for addressing common challenges and opportunities, with a strong focus on enhancing economic and cultural ties across the region.
Notably, Iran has held the chairmanship of the ACD since October 2023, underscoring its growing influence within the forum. As chair, Iran has been actively involved in steering discussions on regional cooperation, further solidifying its role as a key player in Asia's political and economic landscape.
The summit in Qatar is expected to provide member states an opportunity to explore new avenues for collaboration, strengthen partnerships, and address pressing regional issues.
