IRGC chief offers assistance for trapped miners

TEHRAN- The Islamic Revolution Guard Corps is willing to assist in restoring the workplace for workers impacted by the mining tragedy in Tabas, the IRGC commander-in-chief declared in a message on Tuesday.

Following is the text of the message by Major General Hossein Salami:
“The tragic mining incident in Tabas, which resulted in the loss of life and injuries to several dedicated and diligent workers, has brought profound sorrow and grief.

I extend my heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and offer prayers for the swift recovery of those injured in this unfortunate event. Furthermore, I affirm the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps' readiness to support the restoration of the workplace for the esteemed workers who contribute to the nation's advancement. 

I pray that the Almighty grants high ranks and abundant mercy to the deceased and provides patience and great rewards to the bereaved and survivors of this incident.”

According to local sources, a methane gas leak resulted in explosions at two sections of the Madanjoo mine in South Khorasan Province. Tragically, 31 workers have lost their lives, and 20 more have sustained injuries.
