Saipa lose to Monolith Skyrisers in 2024 Asian Women’s Club Volleyball Championship

TEHRAN – Iran’s Saipa lost to the Philippines’ Monolith Skyrisers 3-1 (25-19, 25-18, 19-25, 25-18) in Pool B of the 2024 Asian Women’s Club Volleyball Championship on Sunday.

Alyssa Jae Solomon scored 22 big points with captain Mhicaela Belen adding 22 markers in Sunday afternoon’s victory at the Chartchai Hall.

Saipa will meet NEC Red Rockets Kawasaki of Japan and Vietnamese side LP Bank Ninh Binh on Monday and Tuesday, respectively.

Pool A consists of Thailand’s Nakhonratchasima Qmin, Hong Kong’s Kwai Tsing, Kuanysh of Kazakhstan and Duc Giang Chemical Club of Vietnam.

The competition is being held in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand from Sept. 22 to 29.

The top two teams will qualify for the 2024 FIVB Women’s Club World Championship, due to be held in China from Dec. 17 to 22.
