Iran’s envoy to Russia slams US media for antagonistic strategies aimed at critics
TEHRAN - Kazem Jalali, the Iranian ambassador to the Russian Federation, criticized the United States for its media strategy targeting its critics during a press conference held at the BRICS media summit on Saturday.
In response to inquiries regarding U.S. allegations against the Russia Today network, Jalali remarked that the U.S. has consistently aimed to undermine competing media outlets and organizations that do not align with its interests.
Jalali emphasized that such tactics are no longer effective in the current international landscape.
Earlier, U.S. Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, had claimed that Russia Today had allegedly interfered in the internal matters of other nations and engaged in “Covert operations related to information and influence.”
The BRICS media summit is currently underway in Moscow, featuring representatives from member countries.
