US, E3 acting on faulty intelligence, Iran says of claims of missile sale to Russia
'Iran has not delivered ballistic missiles to Russia. Period.'
TEHRAN – Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araqhchi on Wednesday insisted on Tehran’s previous announcements that the Islamic Republic has not sent ballistic missiles to Russia, saying the United States and the European trio of Britain, France and Germany are again acting on “faulty intelligence”.
“Once again, US and E3 act on faulty intelligence and flawed logic,” Araghchi wrote on X.
"Iran has not delivered ballistic missiles to Russia. Period," he asserted.
On Tuesday, the US and the European trio slapped sanctions on IranAir under the bogus claim that Iran has sent ballistic missiles to Russia in its war with Ukraine.
Araghchi said the mentioned Western countries that he said are addicted to sanctions should ask themselves how it is possible for Iran to build sophisticated weapons and sell them.
"Sanction addicts should ask themselves how is Iran able to make & supposedly sell sophisticated arms?" the Iranian foreign minister wrote.
Araghchi who was Iran's second-ranking diplomat in helping craft the defunct 2015 nuclear deal (officially called the JCPOA) with the West in 2015 noted that sanctions make the situation worse, saying, "Sanctions are not a solution, but part of the problem."
