Iran, Turkey to increase collaboration in cultural affairs
TEHRAN- The chief of the Iranian Islamic Culture and Relations Organization has characterized 2025 as a pivotal year for cultural interactions between Iran and Turkey.
As reported by IRNA on Thursday, Mohammad Mehdi Imanipour highlighted during a meeting with Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, that Tehran aims to hold the opening ceremony for the cultural year in February 2025, aligning it with Iran's National Day.
In response, the Turkish minister emphasized that 2025 will mark a significant period for the two countries, with notable advancements in their cultural ties.
Nuri Ersoy underscored the importance of conducting specialized and technical meetings to facilitate this progress.
Nuri Ersoy also mentioned the annual Turkey Culture Route Festival, which attracts 60% of the nation's population, and expressed that Turkish officials are fully prepared to host Iran as a distinguished guest at this event, providing an opportunity for Iranians to engage directly with Turkish citizens.
Iran's National Day, recognized as the National Day of Independence, is celebrated annually on February 11th. This day marks the anniversary of the 1979 Iranian Revolution, which resulted in the fall of the Pahlavi dynasty and the establishment of an Islamic republic. On this occasion, Iranians participate in various activities and ceremonies to honor their national identity and independence.
