TEHRAN - Iran’s para powerlifter Mohsen Bakhtiar won a bronze medal in the 2024 Paralympic Games on Thursday.

Egyptian Mohamed Elmenyawy won the gold in the men’s 59kg powerlifting competition with 201kg and China’s Qi Yongkai won the silver with 200kg.

Bakhtiar finished in third place, lifting 197kg.

The competition was held at La Chapelle Arena.
