Iran sitting volleyball into 2024 Paralympics semis

PARIS – Iran’s men’s sitting volleyball team defeated Germany in straight sets (25-16, 25-13, 25-16) on Tuesday to advance to the semifinals of the 2024 Paralympic Games.
Team Melli had previously defeated Ukraine and Brazil in Pool B.
Iran will play Egypt on Thursday, while Germany meet Bosnia and Herzegovina in another semifinals.
Iran have won a record seven titles, including the last two, with Bosnia and Herzegovina winning twice.
Iran’s mission in Paris is to capture their eighth Paralympic gold medal, adding to their impressive haul of seven gold and two silver medals from past Games.
