Hakim and Larijani Examine Developments in West Asia
Seyyed Ammar Hakim, the leader of Iraq's National Wisdom Movement, met with Ali Larijani, the former speaker of the Iranian parliament, on Sunday evening in Baghdad.
During their discussion, they explored the impact of the Arbaeen pilgrimage on the people of Iraq and Iran, as well as on the broader region.
Hakim described Arbaeen as a significant occasion with humanitarian, social, and reform aspects, expressing gratitude for the efforts of Shia Marjas, citizens, governments, social activists, and the Arbaeen retinue in hosting and protecting millions of pilgrims.
The two leaders also addressed political developments in the region and the relationship between Iraq and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Hakim praised the resilience of the Palestinian people and called for an end to the war in Gaza, emphasizing the need for aid to refugees and their return to their homes.
Hakim stressed the international community's responsibility to halt the conflict, warning of its potential regional and global consequences.
