All ministers win vote of confidence
TEHRAN – The Iranian Parliament concludes its review of President Masoud Pezeshkian's proposed cabinet and approves all 19 nominees.
Lawmakers voted in favor of all ministers following five days of hearings and discussions, culminating in a vote on Wednesday.
Pezeshkian submitted his cabinet picks to the Parliament on August 11th, just 12 days after his own swearing-in ceremony.
Pezeshkian secured the highest number of votes in the first round of the presidential election on June 28th and ultimately won the runoff on July 5th against Saeed Jalili, garnering 53.66% of the votes.
Iran held early presidential elections after President Ebrahim Raisi passed away in a tragic helicopter crash on May 19 in northwest Iran.
