Pezeshkian urges MPs to demonstrate commitment to national unity
TEHRAN- The Iranian president convened a meeting with the newly elected representatives of the twelfth parliament.
On Monday evening, Masoud Pezeshkian addressed this group of representatives, underscoring that the fourteenth government is not preoccupied with assigning blame for the nation's challenges. Rather, it is dedicated to confronting these issues directly and with unwavering resolve.
He articulated, “The initial priority of the government's agenda is to build trust with the populace and to ensure that citizens are treated with dignity across all government offices and agencies.”
Pezeshkian also emphasized the significance of executing the national vision document as a fundamental objective for the country's progress.
He remarked, “This document is both scientifically sound and invaluable, and its effective implementation necessitates capable, knowledgeable, and experienced leaders. Also, with the backing of esteemed representatives and a vote of confidence for all cabinet members, this ambition can be realized.”
Masoud Pezeshkian highlighted the necessity of avoiding internal conflicts and promoting unity and collaboration as vital for overcoming obstacles.
He assured all present that if we engage in our duties with sincerity and teamwork, setting aside disputes and exclusionary practices, and concentrate on serving the nation and its citizens, divine support will follow.
Iran’s president concluded by stating that anyone, irrespective of their political affiliations, who strives to meet the needs of the public contributes positively to the nation, the system, and the revolution.
He reiterated, “The government's foremost aim today is to close the gap between the people and the authorities and to ensure public contentment; for those who align with our vision, there is an open opportunity for service.”
