TEHRAN- Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni engaged in a phone conversation on Thursday.
Meloni congratulated Pezeshkian on his presidential election win, highlighting the importance of strengthening ties between the two countries.
The two leaders focused on significant developments in the West Asia region and beyond.
They discussed key regional and international issues, exploring ways to maintain peace and security.
Italy is one of the members of the G7, a group made up of the world's seven largest economies, currently led by Meloni in a rotating presidency. This leadership role could play a significant part in strengthening the ties between Iran and Italy.
