TEHRAN- The Sudanese Foreign Minister arrived at Imam Khomeini International Airport in Tehran on Monday to participate in the presidential inauguration in Iran.

Hussein Awaz, the Sudanese Foreign Minister, arrived in Tehran at the head of a diplomatic delegation for bilateral negotiations with Iran and to attend the inauguration ceremony of Masoud Pezeshkian, the new Iranian president.

Hussein Awaz is scheduled to meet with Ali Bagheri Kani, Iran’s acting Foreign Minister, to discuss bilateral relations and important international issues.

This is the second visit of the new Foreign Minister of Sudan to Tehran this year. Political relations between Tehran and Khartoum were resumed last year after an 8-year hiatus.
