South African FM in Tehran to attend inauguration of Iranian president

TEHRAN- The South African Foreign Minister has arrived in Tehran to attend the inauguration ceremony of Masoud Pezeshkian, the new president of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Ronald Lamola is scheduled to meet with Ali Bagheri Kani, Iran’s interim foreign minister during his stay in Tehran to discuss bilateral relations and important international issues.
Lamola has recently taken on the role of Foreign Minister in the South African unity government. He has previously served as the South African Minister of Justice.
The inauguration ceremony of Pezeshkian will be held on Tuesday, July 30, at the Islamic Consultative Assembly (Parliament) with the participation of national officials and foreign delegations.
