Former Iran football president Safizadeh passes away

TEHRAN – Mohammad Safizadeh, former president of Iran football federation, passed away Monday morning.

He died of hear failure at the age of 73.

Safizadeh headed the football federation from 1993 to 1994.

He also founded Keshavarz football club in Tehran and so many Iranian stars played for the Tehran based club.

Safizadeh was also managing directors of Abrar newspapers (political, sports, economic).

Safizadeh will be laid to rest on Tuesday in Tehran’s Behesht-e Zahra Cemetery.

Tehran Times extends its deepest sympathy to Safizadeh’s family, loved ones, and friends over his demise.
