Sardar Azmoun switches from Leverkusen to Dubai
TEHRAN - Bayer Leverkusen have reportedly found a buyer for striker Sardar Azmoun.
The Iranian is set to join Shabab Al-Ahli in Dubai, according to reports from "Bild" and "Kicker".
The Bundesligist is said to receive six million Euros plus bonuses. FC Sevilla were also reportedly interested in the 29-year-old.
Azmoun was recently unable to participate in training with the team under trainer Xabi Alonso and had to train individually. He missed the first public training session in preparation and reported in late.
The 29-year-old was on loan to AS Roma in the previous season. He joined Bayer Leverkusen from Zenit St. Petersburg in early 2022. In 32 Bundesliga matches, he scored five goals. Azmoun still has a contract with Leverkusen until 2027.
