Iran Interior Minister holds meeting on Arbaeen
TEHRAN- The Arbaeen Walk coordination headquarters meeting was held in the presence of Iran's Minister of Interior and the Iranian ambassador to Iraq.
According to ISNA, Ahmad Vahidi, Iran's Minister of Interior, provided views, opinions, and necessary instructions during this meeting to further facilitate services for the Arbaeen Walk. He also received information and opinions from the officials of the Arbaeen headquarters in the shrine cities of Iraq, as well as from the committees of the headquarters. Ahmad Vahidi offered necessary guidance and instructions for follow-up and implementation.
At the beginning of the Arbaeen Walk headquarters meeting, Mohammad Kazem Al Sadeq, the Iranian Ambassador to Iraq, presented a report on the activities and coordination with the responsible Iraqi officials.
He mentioned, “The visit of the ministers of interior of Iran and Iraq to the joint border terminals of the two countries, along with a field visit to these crossings to examine the entry and exit process of the pilgrims, exemplified the successful coordination and cooperation with Iraqi officials.”
Iran's Minister of Interior departed for Iraq on Monday to participate in a two-day conference focused on combating the production and distribution of drugs in the region.
