Pakistan PM to attend Iran's new President's inauguration
TEHRAN- Shehbaz Sharif, the prime minister of Pakistan, will participate in the inauguration ceremony of Iran’s newly elected president.
According to the announcement from the Pakistani Prime Minister's office, the Pakistani prime minister will travel to Tehran to attend the inauguration ceremony of Masoud Pezeshkian.
Prime Minister Sharif had previously traveled to Tehran on May 22 to lead a high-ranking delegation in offering condolences for the martyrdom of Ayatollah Ebrahim Raisi.
Earlier, Mojtaba Yousefi, a member of the presiding board of the Parliament, announced that official authorities from neighboring countries and foreign ambassadors would also attend the ceremony.
Masoud Pezeshkian was elected as the ninth president of Iran in the second round of the presidential elections with the majority of votes, and according to the schedule of the Parliament, the inauguration ceremony and the implementation of the leadership decree will take place on July 30.
