Iran hosts joint Caspian Sea search and rescue exercise
TEHRAN – Iran’s Navy hosts the Joint Caspian Sea Search and Rescue Exercise, "CASAREX24," from July 19 to July 21.
This significant maritime event, organized by the Northern Fleet of Iran Navy, will see the participation of all five littoral states of the Caspian Sea.
The exercise aims to enhance regional cooperation and improve the readiness of participating nations in conducting search and rescue operations. The participating countries include Iran, Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, and Azerbaijan, each bringing their unique capabilities to the table.
The motto for this year's exercise is "Together for a Safe and Secure Caspian Sea," reflecting the shared commitment of these nations to ensure maritime safety and security in the region.
The joint exercise will feature a series of drills designed to simulate real-life maritime emergencies, including rescue operations, medical evacuations, and firefighting at sea. These drills will help improve coordination and communication among the naval forces of the participating countries, ensuring they are better prepared to handle emergencies.
