Palestinian fighters with the National Resistance Brigades reported destroying an Israeli armored personnel carrier using an improvised explosive device (IED) in Rafah city’s Kaf al-Mashrou area on Thursday, war monitors reported.

US-based defense think tanks the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) and the Critical Threats Project (CTP) report also that mortars were fired at Israeli troops in Rafah’s Tal as-Sultan neighborhood. 

Israeli forces came under fire on the Netzarim Corridor, located south of Gaza City, while Hamas fighters launched a barrage of rockets at southern Israel’s Mefalsim and Nir Am areas, also on Thursday, the monitors said.
