Resistance forces now decision-makers in West Asia: Quds commander
TEHRAN- The Commander of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps on Wednesday, highlighted Resistance groups' important role in regional affairs, noting that Resistance forces have now turned into independent and decision-making entities.
Brigadier General Ismail Ghaani made the remarks when visiting the family of a martyred veteran of the Iran-Iraq war.
"Today, Resistance throughout the region has its own independent and suitable structure and has grown step by step, and today all the elements of the resistance front are in the pursuit of righteousness against falsehood,” the senior commander said.
Resistance forces in Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Lebanon, and Palestine have gained significant clout and military power in recent years. The groups have managed to successfully face off against Western and Israeli troops seeking to exploit and occupy their homelands.
Iran has expressed its support for the Resistance multiple times while emphasizing that it has no say in local forces’ decisions.
