Iran’s acting FM warns Israel will sink into quagmire if it attacks Hezbollah
TEHRAN - Ali Bagheri Kani, Iran’s acting foreign minister, who was visiting Lebanon on Monday warned Israel will find itself in a quagmire should it launch an all-out war against Hezbollah.
Speaking at a news conference at the Iranian embassy in Beirut, Bagheri Kani described Hezbollah as the “anchor of resistance” in Lebanon.
He also dismissed US proposal for a ceasefire deal between Hamas and Israel, saying, “If the Americans are honest, then instead of proposing plans under the name of a ceasefire, they must take one step, which is end all aid to the Israeli entity.”
The interim top diplomat added, “Only once the aid is cut from the Israeli entity, the entity won’t have the tools and ability to commit crimes against the Palestinians and the war will end.”
