Iran navy chief advocates for economic security via national scientific expertise
TEHRAN –Iranian Navy Commander Rear Admiral Shahram Irani calls for robust participation in the realm of economic security, stressing the need to harness the nation’s scientific capabilities to bolster economic stability in maritime domains.
Speaking at the inauguration of a cultural center in Anzali Port, located in northern Iran, Admiral Irani highlighted the strategic significance of the Fourth Marine Region, named Imam Reza.
He emphasized its strong potential in "defense diplomacy and training of forces," which is essential for maintaining a presence in international waters and fostering relations with Caspian Sea coastal countries.
Admiral Irani underscored Anzali's historical significance to the navy, paying tribute to the numerous martyrs who have been laid to rest in the region.
He stressed the importance of leveraging Iran's diverse potential, including its youth, academics, research institutions, and industrial centers, to achieve economic security.
In his remarks, the admiral reiterated the importance of following the legacy of martyrs and adhering to the directives of Ayatollah Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution.
He also praised the valor of Iran’s Armed Forces, noting its crucial role in ensuring national security.
Concluding his speech, Admiral Irani highlighted the significant sacrifices made by the navy, likening the fallen martyrs to a "propelling engine" driving the nation's progress across various sectors.
