TEHRAN – Cuba defeated Iran 3-1 (25-20, 14-25, 25-21, 25-21) in the 2024 Volleyball Nations League (VNL) early Sunday.

Robertlandy Simon Aties and Marlon Yant Herrera led Cuba with 14 points each and Meysam Salehi scored 15 points for Iran.

Team Melli, led by Mauricio Motta Paes, will play Argentina early Monday.

The 2024 FIVB Volleyball Men's Nations League is the sixth edition of the FIVB Volleyball Men's Nations League, an annual men's international volleyball tournament.

The competition is currently held from 21 May to 30 June 2024 and the final round will take place at Atlas Arena, Łódź, Poland.

World Ranking Points will be awarded or deducted after each match of the preliminary rounds of the competition and this will be important for some of the teams who haven't qualified for Paris 2024 yet: five additional Olympic quotas will be decided using the FIVB rankings in June 2024.
