Chinese President Xi Jinping has sent a congratulatory message to the summit of heads of state and government of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, which is being held in Banjul, capital of Gambia.

In his message, the Chinese leader stressed that the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation represents the unity and autonomy of Islamic countries, making a significant contribution to strengthening cooperation among them and upholding international justice.

Xi Jinping also highlighted the strong collaboration between China and Islamic countries on issues of mutual interest, achieving successful results in pragmatic cooperation, which exemplifies the effectiveness of South-South cooperation.
