Hamas: Iran’s attack on Israel set new rules
The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas has once again praised Iran’s missile and drone attack against Israel that was carried out earlier this month.
The spokesman for al-Qassam Brigades, the resistance movement’s military wing, said the use of explosive drones and ballistic missiles by Iran “set new rules, drew important equations, and confused the enemy and those behind it.”
Abu Obaida made the comments in a televised speech marking 200 days since the start of Israel’s brutal onslaught on the Gaza Strip.
On April 13, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) launched extensive missile and drone strikes at Israel. The operation dubbed True Promise, inflicted damage on Israeli military bases.
The operation came after an Israeli attack against the Iranian consulate in the Syrian capital on April 1.
The Israeli strike in Damascus killed seven IRGC members, including two generals namely Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Zahedi and General Mohammad Hadi Haji Rahimi.
Further in his remarks, Abu Obaida said Israel has failed to achieve its goals in Gaza.
“The enemy is in a quagmire, stuck in the sands of Gaza. It will reap nothing but shame and defeat. Two hundred days on and our resistance in Gaza is as solid as the mountains of Palestine.”
